YAY!

Thu Aug 27, 2009, 6:19 AM
well, i went tool shopping a few days ago with some savings, and the proceeds of my 21st birthday from earlier this year, and among other things, purchased myself a 30kg (65lb) anvil, which should be somewhat more useful than the small piece of railway line i was using, mainly because no matter how hard i hit it, i dont think it will bounce off the worksurface and land on my foot! i also aqquired a propane blow torch, will see if i can find some use for it, not sure yet, but hey, i was on a tool purchasing rampage! :D

Thanks for the :+devwatch:
Your blades are quite inspiring
:iconbladeslinger:
thanks very much, and also thank you for the watch :D i love the mods you did on those cold steel axes :D
:iconagape45:
Mod is rather an overstatement, but the heads are American Tomahawk and quite good steel. The steel butts do make the shortened poleaxes into real tree killers...
:iconcwylldren:
Thanks for the watch!

:iconbladeslinger:
no worries :) i love your drawings just as much as i love your hubbys metal work :D seemed a logical step to add you to the watch list, allowing me to be lazy and know whenever you post something new! :D
:iconcwylldren:
Yay for laziness!

When someone uses my name like that, I feel like they're claiming squatters rights on my soul.
:iconbladeslinger:
thanks very much :D your jewelry is also very cool, i love the strange designs, and anything that can be made by belting a piece of metal with a hammer is good in my book :D
:iconaampersand:
xD That's the best theory ever. Also very true! Hammers make eeeverything better. Heh, thanks!

i agree entirely, i've done set fabrication, for some very adaptable sets, and i always found myself reaching for a hammer if something didnt quite fit :D it may not be the most subtle approach, but when you have a very limited time, and information on whats needed comes in the form of grunts and ranting from the director, speed is the key :D
